MEGA DEAL: Eagles sichern sich Fletcher Cox für weitere 6 Jahre

Die Philadelphia Eagles einigten sich mit ihrem Defensive Tackle Fletcher Cox auf eine Verlängerung um 6 Jahre. Duie gab das Team am Montag bekannt.

Die finanziellen Details wurden zwar noch nicht bekanntgegeben sickerten aber dennoch zumindest teilweise durch. So soll Cox während der nächsten 6 Jahre bis zu $103 Millionen verdienen. Immerhin noch $63 Millionen sind garantiert. Diese Garantiesumme bekam in der NFL vor Cox noch kein anderer Spieler (mal abgesehen von Quarterbacks).

Weiters enthält der Deal einen Unterschriftsbonus von $26 Millionen.

In der letzten Saison konnte Cox 71 Tackles und 9.5 Sacks setzen weiters erzwang er 3 Fumbles und stand in allen 16 Spielen der Eagles am Platz.
