Nick Bosa is set to return. At the same time, the team will be without Mike Evans, Christian Kirk and Deebo Samuel. Evans will miss his second straight game with Achilles tendinitis. The receiver was unable to practice all week and has been ruled out for Sunday’s game against Las Vegas.

Kirk and Samuel will also be unavailable to the 49ers. Head coach Kyle Shanahan confirmed that Kirk injured his meniscus in practice this week. Samuel will miss his third straight game with a hamstring injury.

Nick Bosa expected to bring stability to the defense

There is better news on Nick Bosa. The defensive end is expected to return against the Raiders after missing the past five games with a calf injury. Bosa practiced all week without any issues and is expected to immediately add quality to the 49ers’ defensive line.

“He’s been cleared. He had a really good week. I’m excited to have him back,” Shanahan said.

The five-time Pro Bowler had already played in two games this season. He had previously returned from a torn ACL in his right knee, which sidelined him starting in Week 3 of last season. Bosa believes he injured his left calf by compensating for the knee injury. He is healthy again now.

Receiver Demarcus Robinson is also expected to return. Robinson had spent the past five games on injured reserve with an ankle injury and is expected to be activated Saturday, according to the team. He was initially listed as questionable.

Evans remains an important part of the 49ers’ offense

Evans had been dealing with the injury for several weeks. He was unable to practice ahead of the Week 6 game against Washington and left the contest after aggravating his Achilles late in the first half. He then missed the following game against Atlanta as well. After the Week 8 bye, he still wasn’t able to get back on the practice field.

The 33-year-old was an important part of the offense in his first season in San Francisco. Evans caught 27 passes for 420 yards and three touchdowns. Since he left the game against Washington, the 49ers have scored just 23 points over six quarters.

Kirk had made his debut for San Francisco shortly before the bye week. The receiver injured his calf at the first training camp practice in July and didn’t return until two weeks ago in Atlanta. He played 20 snaps in the loss to the Falcons but was not targeted.

In addition to the confirmed absences, safety Marques Sigle (ankle), defensive back Upton Stout (shoulder), defensive back Siran Neal (knee and foot) and cornerback Nate Hobbs (groin) were listed as questionable.
