Over the course of the past month you have received a series of documents from me which have addressed both sports governance and sports development, including papers like the draft document for event hosting.
This has been a prelude to a deeper process which will see IFAF create a new multi-year strategy to guide the direction and progress of the organisation and the sport as a whole.
Sports such as football have tremendous power to confer multiple social, economic and health benefits upon individuals and their communities, be it through the staging of world class events or through high quality Physical Education lessons featuring football.
Through a process characterised by unprecedented depth and rigour, we are committed to ensuring that our new strategy sets and meets a breadth of objectives and ensures that IFAF’s work ultimately unlocks those benefits highlighted above for as many people around the world as possible.
IFAF is dedicated to ensuring that we meet the challenges of a rapidly evolving international sporting landscape and continually improving our offer. We look forward to working with members and wider stakeholders in creating and delivering our new strategy.
